ALLISON VELTZ CRUZ

​​​​Songwriter of "“Prayed For You”, "Let Your Boys Be Country”, "Love You a Little Bit", and Somebody Like That”.

Born in Alabama into a musical family, Allison Veltz Cruz grew up moving around frequently. Music ultimately led her to Music City in 2011, where she quickly notched her first #1 platinum song “Mr. Taxi” recorded by K-pop group, Girls’ Generation. Since then, she’s topped the Billboard Country charts with Matt Stell’s double platinum, two-week #1 “Prayed For You” and Tenille Arts’ platinum hit “Somebody Like That,” which made country music history as the first country #1 to be written, performed and produced by all females. She also scored Jason Aldean’s hit single “Let Your Boys Be Country”.

 

Allison has also had songs recorded by Lady A, Dierks Bentley, Nate Smith, Josh Ross, Michael Ray, Drew Baldridge, Carly Pearce, George Birge, Maddie & Tae, and many more. Allison’s impressive catalog has earned her national recognition, including the 2020 AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers) Rising Songwriter of the Year Award. Most recently, she signed with Universal Music Publishing Group for an exclusive global publishing deal.
